June Rhodes Medal
A small gale greeted Saturday’s golfers. This was somewhat offset by a large prize giving table as the SPCA and Wesley Methodist Church, in a joint venture, sponsored an occasion that covered three separate golfing events. In the most prestigious of these events Clive Holloway was presented with the 2012 Rhodes Challenge Cup after returning a net 75, easily the best return of the contenders.

In the Club competition of the day, the monthly medal, Denver van Heerden claimed the June 2013 Rhodes Mug on a net 70. Hanru Duvenhage won the A division on net 71 with Gareth Murray the runner up on 72. Willem Faber won the B division on net 74 with Clive Holloway the runner up on 75. Prizes were awarded down to sixth position in each division. The testing conditions were underlined by the best gross of the day, a 76, won by Nico Jacobs in a count out from Hanru Duvenhage.
In the Ladies Section best net overall went to Susan Ferreira, Susan Alexander the runner up. Helena Janse won the putting prize.

Wednesday IPS:
Added junior golf competitiveness garnered through their championship events saw Hermus Venter card a gross two over par 74 on Wednesday.
His ensuing 41 individual points was the winning competition score. A favourable count out ensured first place, Derek Potgieter adjudged the runner up.
Siewert Wiid was third on 38 points with Clive Holloway fourth on 36 points
Diamond Niner:
Gerhard Buys, Pieter van Niekerk and Machiel Cronje were the successful Diamond Niner players on Thursday evening.
