Saturday’s IPS offered five separate jackpot opportunities – the first,
second and third 6s and the first and second 9s - with vouchers valued at R250
each. Susan Alexander struck gold when she scooped the first 6 on 16 points and
the first 9 on 23 points. Stiaan Hugo, who carded a gross 68,
claimed the second 6 on 15 points with Machiel Cronje the winner of the
third 6, also on 15 points. David Jacobs and Deon Nel shared the second 9, each
on 21 points. For the record Stiaan Hugo carded a gross 68 on the day.
Donathon Jennings scored 22 points for an outright win in the Friday
Flamingo Casino Meat and Slots Niner. Ricky Joseph was second on 21 points.
Mietie Aysen, Peter Salo and Johan Herselman were the remaining three prize
winners. A very present Johan Herselman collected the CTCS snowball draw at R1
400.
Wednesday’s IPS jackpot was worth R140 per unit. The winners included
Donathon Jennings who picked up two, the third 6 on 17 points and the second
nine on a remarkable 26 points. In doing so he returned 47 individual
stableford points for the day and his first sub 90 round. Jaco Venter took the
first 6 on 16 points while Harry Welham claimed the second 6 on 17 points. The
first 9 was shared four ways by Lional Jacobs, Hein Voight, Jaco Venter and Ronnie
Engelbrecht, each on 20 points.
This week the Club is open on Monday and Tuesday for social golf with
an IPS on Wednesday. Thursday is the KWV Niner and Friday is the Flamingo
Casino Niner along with the CTCS snowball draw. On Saturday a Club competition
with morning and afternoon fields is on offer.
