The Club 16 defending champion’s team, Yystergraad, held on to their title for the second successive year after the final round win in the Sunday morning singles in this annual Ryder Cup style challenge.
Four players returned net 69 in Saturday’s Monthly Medal. The ensuing count out placed Allen Doherty best net overall, Alisdair McKenzie first in the A division, Frikkie Norman first in the B division and Kevin Wakeford runner up in the B division. A further count on net 70 saw Pieter Botes the runner up in the A division. Andries Kori returned the best gross on the day, a two under par 70.
Leon King and Chris Roux returned 44 points to win the Seniors BBS. A count out on 42 points placed Francois Maritz and John Lankester second, and, Japie Dreyer and Mike Vigne third.
Bernie Bennett posted 22 points on Friday evening to comfortably win the Sun Flamingo Niner. Jaco Janse (20), Susan Alexander (19), Leon van Wyk (18) and Fareez Aexander (17) finished second to fifth.
Nico Ross, aided by a birdie at the nominated par four 15th for eight points, posted 23 points for an outright win in the Thursday KWV Powerplay Niner. Darian Fortune was second on 20 points wth Wedge Crozier third on 19 points, each having posted a powerplay six pointer. Outside of the prize winners Ant Crozier also claimed a ticket in the Roodeberg and Rump draw for his six pointer.
Lennie Allen claimed the Leon’s House of Liquor IPS Wednesday afternoon, his score 38 points. This was on a count out from Gavin Schafer. Gary Hepburn was third on 36 points.
Wayne Petersen on 15 was first in the Cleveland Super Six Tournament on Tuesday. OJ Maimane was second on 13 with Darian Fortune third on the count out on 12.
This week it is the Tuesday Super Six, the final 2015 Wednesday Darsha IPS and the Thursday KWV Powerplay Niner. On Friday the it is the Sun Flamingo Niner and the CTCS snowball draw. On Saturday the Club offers an IPS.
2016 Subs invoices that include NCGU affiliation fees as well as the HNA fees have been sent by post and email. A 10% discount on the subs portion is allowed if paid by 31 December 2015.
